Smartpac Jacc 2
Here is an update of Smartpac Jacc 2. As I am organizing a short animation storyboard for my new demo reel intro, I try to decide a new look for the clumsy inventor.

Flow Lines
I continue to expose myself to the basic principles of animation. Recently I watched Kung Fu Panda for the second time and tried to really keep in mind of certain animation terms. In the shot below I happened to catch this clever set-up of Tigress and Po. In the short shot that it was, I noticed both her body and eyes lined up in such a way that it not only drew my attention on her but also Po's awestruck expression.

11sec club_December
For this months animation I went ahead and drew up a small storyboard for the sake of clarity before I act this out. I was given some critiques in the process and there were some significant changes that were made that will definitely help sell this in the long run. Here is the original storyboard.

Smartpac Jacc Take 2! WIP
Ever since my first version of Jacc was animated new ideas have been running through my head of what else Jacc could create. I won't spoil that just yet, but lets say it is a new smartpac, only....better! Looking forward to coming up with concepts for this soon to be 3D goofball. Here is a WIP of just the head.
Eggie baby version
Originally Chris Kuhner and I were shooting for an adorable egg but it branched off into a different art direction. Chris will be creating his own egg creature and I will be doing the same on my end. We are still producing concepts so nothing is set in stone as of yet. I thought I would post this Eggie baby concept for kicks and gigs.
Eggie Concepts
Its been quite some time since I posted anything. I had to go through several procedures for a spontaneous collapsed lung that occurred mid November. So with that said I have been doing some concept work with Chris Kuhner in the meantime during recovery. We both want to achieve something simple, cute, useful, and entertaining in the long run. This will be placed in Autodesk Maya once the 2D stages are completed. Here is concept #1.

Final
This was a nice practice for me. I plan on creating more character concepts for potential 3D animations.
Values
Added some values in this guy here. Trying to decide what else I want to do to make it more appealing to the eye.
Sketch
I'm keeping up with my traditional side in addition to my 3D animation. Here is a sketch of a Pittsburgh Penguin concept that I was fooling around with one day.
